Evonne Kruck at 53, born in Brooklyn, New York has passed away at Serenity House from cerebral cancer October 10, 2012 at 2:50 AM at Santa Barbara, California. Evonne lived and had started pursuing her advanced study of photography at Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara 4 years ago. Evonne is survived by her two daughters Aubrey Michelle Abbas, Jesse Marie Butler, her grandsons Jamison Abbas son of Aubrey and Gabe Abbas, Benjamin David Butler son of Jesse and Jeremy Butler. Her parents Eduardo DeJesus and Maria del Carmen Lebron DeJesus, grandmother Eulalia Martinez. Survived her younger sister Eulalia DeJesus-Normand aka Lilly married to Yves Normand, younger brother Ed married to Kristene and youngest cherished sister Edna Mae Blaise partner of John Noto. She is survived by Lilly’s children: niece Deborah Ann Kramp fiancée of Jeremy Gerl and nephew Oscar Booth Kramp IV husband of Samantha. Evonne is survived by Ed and Kristene children niece Evelyn, nephews Eduardo Nelo and Alexandro. Evonne is survived by her nephews Jonathan Blaise and Hunter Blaise sons of Edna Mae. Michael Noto and Jonathan Noto sons of John Noto civil spouse of Edna and adopted nephews of Evonne have also lived on to tell the tale of Evonne and her love of life. We have a large family and Evonne had many friends that she loved and adopted as part of her family. We wish to acknowledge a particular second cousin Anthony Sanchez uncle of Lourdes and Nerada cousin and good friends of Evonne who helped her settle in California and was great assistance to her during her transition to California from Florida. Anthony survived his first wife Aida Sanchez who also passed away from breast cancer and understood the trials that Evonne faced. Survived by Aunts Angela Feliciano married to William Feliciano, Aunt Carmen Gonzalez married to Gualberto Gonzalez (Wally), Aunt Nelly widow of Uncle Victor Lebron, Aunt Margaret DeJesus, Aunt Eva DeJesus, Uncle Francisco (Paco) DeJesus married to Aunt Lydia, Uncle Jose DeJesus. Great Aunt Esther Zielinski, Great Uncle Jose Rodriguez (Tio Pepe) married to Esie Rodriguez. Great Uncle Mariciano Martinez brother of grandmother Eulalia Martinez. Meeting Evonne in heaven are her: Grandfather recently passed in April Victor Lebron father of Evonne’s mom and his wife Grandmother Maria Louisa who passed October 1995, Grandfather Eduardo DeJesus who passed in May 1972 and his wife Grandmother Margaret DeJesus who passed in November 2005 father and mother of Evonne’s father, her Uncle Victor Lebron that passed last year. Still living to tell more tales of Evonne are her cousins: Lourdes Vera, daughter of Alicia and Elliot Vera, Nerada, Cathy daughters of Susana and Junior, Ricardo, Frankie, Amy, Diane children of Tio Paco, Christopher and Anthony Gonzalez children of Tia Carmen, Angela Maria and William Feliciano children of Tia Angela, Victor Alejandro Lebron, Nelly Lebron-Aran, and Victor Luis Lebron children of Uncle Victor that passed, Mayra Muller daughter of Tia Margie, Vickie Sanchez wife of Ruben Sanchez niece and nephew of Anthony Sanchez. Evonne began her studies as a photographer in 1980. She became interested in photography in high school where she was the photographer for the school newspaper and took action shots of athletes during play with incredible detail and animation. She attended many schools of photography while raising her daughters, Aubrey and Jesse, the loves of her life. Her studies included commercial photography and she earned an Associates of Arts degree from Lansing Community College in 1995. In her travels she lived in many areas of the United States, North East, South East, Midwest, South and finally the West Coast. Evonne was a very positive person and enjoyed life, her photographs express this view and her love of life shines through in her photographs. Evonne was more than just a photographer though; she was a confidant; trustworthy to hold your secrets for safe keeping. She was wise person; always knowing just what to say, even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear. Fun and creative; always ready for an adventure, wanting to ride that roller coaster again or go in the haunted house just one more time. She was someone who made bunny cakes from scratch for Easter and green pancakes and eggs for St. Patrick's Day. She was someone who set up tents in the living room and made s'mores in the fireplace when it was too rainy to camp outside and she gave the best hugs. Evonne was determined and strong willed; she knew what she wanted and went after it. She was dedicated in everything she did and never gave up. The photographs she took show these things; her creativity, her passion, and her determination to always get that perfect shot. She was held close and loved by so many. Evonne loved life and she connected with the sentiments of the song from Lee Ann Womack “I Hope You Dance”, remember her by caring for others, enjoying life, and dance.
