John Brian Hamilton

Brian Hamilton passed away on February 11, 2024 in his home in Santa Barbara, California after a battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He was surrounded by close family and his passing was peaceful. Brian was born on September 1, 1954 in Joliette, Quebec to Marguerite (Stonehouse) and John Hamilton. He moved with his family to Nashua, Iowa in 1963. He graduated from Iowa State University and was a life-long fan of the Cyclones (or as he would say, “his Cy-Clowns”). In 1978, Brian moved to Denver and made Colorado his home. He was an avid golfer, skier and sports fan. In 1985, Brian joined Land Title Guarantee Company, a title insurance business, where his natural ability to lead and his unmatched passion for connecting with people led to a 35+ year career. Brian was immensely proud of Land Title’s accomplishments and grateful for the opportunity to be part of a family-owned business and partnership steadfastly committed to its core values of doing right by its customers, employees and the Colorado community. As much as Brian loved his work, nothing was more important to him than quality time with his family and loved ones. He adored his wife, Paige, and in particular, loved making her laugh with his joyful wit (and, ahem…sarcasm). He was a devoted, loving and fun father and grandfather, attending sports games, coordinating outdoor adventures and championing academic, athletic and professional pursuits. Brian had a passion for bringing his family and friends together through backyard BBQs, travel, Colorado sports games, holiday celebrations and other meaningful experiences. We have all laughed harder, seen more of the world and loved one another more because of Brian. Brian was also a dedicated member of the community and involved with many charitable organizations including HomeAid Colorado, The Denver Foundation, Boys Hope Girls Hope, the Challenge Foundation and the Denver Dumb Friends League. Brian generously but quietly supported countless other organizations, causes and people who crossed his path throughout his life. He was also an active member of the National Association of Home Builders. Brian is survived by his wife, Paige, his son, Jesse Hamilton, his daughter, Lesley Hamilton, his sister, Linda Turner, his brother, Scott Hamilton and his six grandchildren. Brian’s family is planning a celebration of life at the Denver Country Club in the coming spring and details will be shared when they become available.
