Alma Ruth Marshall November 8, 1921 to July 25,2014  Alma Ruth Marshall, beloved wife, mother, and friend, gracefully went home to be with the Lord August 25,2014.  Born in Passaic, New Jersey, on Election Day her dad declared that "Alma was elected to be born."  Her parents were Charles and Katie Ruth and her older sisters were Mabel and Claire. She lived in Bristol PA, Fort Worth TX, and Santa Barbara CA.  She was married to Alvin (AI) Marshall and survived by her children Allan Robert (Bob) Marshall, Dean Ronald Marshall, Ruth Alma Marshall Jeppesen, 7 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. She always had a special heart for her great-grandchildren.  Alma Ruth Marshall was an amazing woman. At 92 3/4 she was proudly the oldest person ever in her family. She overcame many difficult circumstances and situations with a hope and joy that came from her spiritual foundation. This foundation was her faith in Jesus Christ. She saw her life guided by God's hands in such a way that she could be secure trusting Him with her future.  We will all miss Alma Ruth Marshall. She was a beloved wife, mother, and friend. She was an exemplary example of trusting God though the many changes life brings us. One of Alma's favorite verses and songs was, "This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it." We rejoice with her now that she is with the Lord.  There will be a Memorial Celebration for Alma Marshall Saturday, August 16th, at 2:00pm in Sizer Hall at Calvary Baptist Church, Santa Barbara.
