Judith (Judy) Boesler

May 11, 1939 - October 17, 2017

May 11, 1939-October 17, 2017 Judy joined her Lord and Savior peacefully on October 17, 2017 at Serenity House. We are so thankful for the many caregivers who cared for her in the last days of her life. Judith Jean was the firstborn child born to Wesley and Rosalie Sizer on May 11, 1939 at Cottage Hospital, Santa Barbara, CA. Judy attended Harding Elementary, La Cumbre Junior High, Santa Barbara High School, Santa Barbara City College, and Knapp School of Nursing. On September 26, 1964 she married her husband Ewald Boesler. They were happily married for 53 years. As a young girl, Judy realized she was a sinner and in desperate need of a Savior. She became a Christian, a believer in Jesus Christ and dedicated the rest of her life to Him. She loved her Lord and served Him by serving people. She loved serving Him in many different ways. Judy hosted and served countless meals to her family, extended family, friends, missionaries, youth groups, and college students. She had the gift of listening and people would pour out their hearts to her during walks on the beach, or over lunch or coffee. She cared for many elderly people from church helping them with whatever they needed from meals, to medical care. Judy also volunteered with the Alzheimer's Association, Friendship Center, and Visiting Nurses. She loved caring for the little ones at church in the nursery and Sunday School as well as when she worked as a nurse at Cottage Hospital in Pediatrics and Maternity. She loved to sew and quilt, making baby quilts, wall hangings, and pot holders to give away. Judy was always humble and quick to serve. Judy will be missed greatly by many but especially by her husband Ewald, her daughter Lisa Chesebro, son Kevin Boesler, and their families but we rejoice knowing that she is now in the Presence of The Lord. Well done good and faithful servant. A memorial service will be held October 27, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Calvary Baptist Church 736 W. Islay St. In lieu of flowers, please support Judy's wishes by donating to Calvary Baptist Church Children's Ministry or Friendship Center.
