Mildred Dolores Morelos

April 4, 1923 - January 22, 2019

On January 22nd 2019 Mildred left her beloved family for her eternal life to be with her Lord and Savior.  She was born on April 1923 to Augustine and Dolores Garcia in Ventura C.A. She attended school at Saint BonaVenture High School and came to Santa Barbara with her family and continued her education and employment. She meet and married the love of her life, Jesus Morelos, and they were married on September 10th 1944. This union produced 14 children, which soon became to her the greatest joy, love and happiness of her being.  She loved to cook and shared this talent with her parish, cooking many meals for the priest's of Our Lady of Sorrows and baking for several charitable functions. Being blessed with an incredible ability to make a heartfelt connection with all who she meet.  She embraced her faith with such a passion and due to this she left everyone better off then before.  We are truly blessed and grateful for her lifetime of prayer, commitment, guidance, sacrifices, hard work, laughter, dedication to her family, memories, and most of all her LOVE! She was a woman of few words but with a tremendous heart that impacted everyones life. Her love was unconditional and given freely. Many times through a smile, a blessing, a prayer, a gesture or even a thought.  She was selfless, kind, gentle, compassionate and humble. She will be greatly missed but will remain in our hearts forever, her legacy will live on through all of us who loved and knew her.  She was survived by her son's Dennis, Ricardo, Augustine, Joel, Raphael and Raul Morelos. Daughters Yolanda Charette, Mildred Jacinto, Linda Clark, Dolores Henson, Cathy Hernandez and Carolyn Henson. 32 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Jesus Morelos, her 2 son's Lionel and David Morelos, parents Augustine and Dolores Garcia and her sister Marie Reynoso.  We would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Sweeney, Dr. Neighbor and all their staff and especially Hospice for all their compassion and wonderful care provided our mother. The Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, January 30th 2019 at 7:00 pm at Our Lady or Sorrows Church, followed by a Funeral mass on Thursday January 31st 2019 at 10am at Our Lady of Sorrows church with grave site service immediately following at Calvary Cemetery.
