Mr. Gerardo Guerrero Villalpando

VILLALPANDO, Gerardo Guerrero G e r a r d o G u e r r e r o V i l l a l p a n d o p a s s e d a w a y peacefully to be with our lord, he was surrounded by his loving family on November 8, 2012 after a short 1 year battle with cancer. B o r n i n G u a n a j u a t o ( P u r i s i m a ) , M e x i c o , o n October 16, 1946, the second eldest of nine children along with his mother, brothers and sisters came to t h e U n i t e d S t a t e s a n d f o u n d a h ome i n S a n t a B a r b a r a f o r o v e r 5 0 y e a r s . O u r g r a n d m o t h e r Maria, Tio Pepe and Gerardo worked very hard to support their large family. Their determination and spiritual belief in God they were never left in need. At a young age, he worked as a busboy at Harry's El Cielito for many years, while working other odd jobs to help support his mother and brothers and sisters. He worked for the City of Santa Barbara for a short time after an accident trained for a new career at the age of 26. After his train he found employment at Mosely Electronics for over 15 years as a Supervisor in electrical/mechanical assembly as a primary job, while also doing janitorial work for Metropolitan Theatres over 20 years and then retiring. He is survived by his wife Margarita, children Victor (Dorine), Gerardo Jr ( R a y l e n e ) , G u a d a l u p e ( E r i c a ) , C h r i s t i n a ( A l f r e d o ) , a n d a l l h i s grandchildren whom he helped raise and loved so dearly Vincent, Victor Jr, Elise, Alex, Michael V, Vanessa, Michael R, Daniel and Eric. The love of his survived brothers and sisters was shown when they were by his side “ T h a n k Y o u F a m i l i a ” J u a n - J o s e ( R e f u g i o “ C u c a ” ) , J u l i t a ( R i c a r d o ) , Anastasia (Jorge), Guadalupe, Josephina (Everett), Irene (Hermilo), Federico (Lydia) Maria and all his nieces nephews. He is predeceased by both parents Guadalupe and Maria (Guerrero) Villalpando, Grandmother Carmela Lopez, Tia's Virginia Velasco and Mercy Guerrero.
